Vineyard Harvest
Pinned to The notice board
A parchment with dirt-smudged edges advertises:
Get Hands-on With Wine!
The Sablan Winery is about to begin its harvest for its signature wines! As is tradition we welcome any and all to be part of the process of harvesting and refining the grapes for our main bottles; Sablan Dawn and Sablan Dusk.
[Dividing the page is an illustration of a bundle of grapes with leafed vines reaching out to the left and right]
Every worker receives 6 silver per day of work and if you are with us for at least two weeks you are gifted with a free bottle of wine (Either any of our current stock or a ticket to pick up a bottle of wine YOU helped make when it is released)
Ways to approach
This one is somewhere between a downtime activity/job and an event, mostly because even though it's a paid responsibility, it's also a unique occurrence where a community can come together for a common joy. It may seem like gifting everyone with a bottle of wine may not be business savvy, but you can be certain that after a long day of harvesting and/or stomping grapes, everyone's heading to the pub for a glass of wine.
Also, consider what this business looks like as a whole - I imagine the Sablan Winery as this vast vineyard on the side of a valley rather than attached to a town or even city. When it puts out these posters people come from far and wide to lend a hand, and there are special lodgings here for this specific purpose (though they can be rented out during the rest of the year), and a tavern helps serve the hungry workers as well as any travellers passing by.
