A nearly pristine parchment reads:
In search of Expert Cat Wrangler.
In a recent accident with some adventurers to be left unnamed, a dozen cats escaped from our tea shop and are now terrorizing the local fishmongers’ warehouse.
Though they may be excellent with fish, the fishmongers are not as skilled in wrangling cats, and we would very much like it if they were returned to us unharmed.
In partnership with the warehouse, we are able to offer a reward of 4 gold for each cat returned to Octavia at The Cat-Tea Corner.
Ways to approach
As a pretty basic job, this is just a bit of fun to throw on the notice board, and can easily be completed by any party members as a downtime activity. However, if you'd like to spruce things up, the heroes completing the task and skulking around the fishmonger warehouse may find some macguffins that lead to a greater adventure, such as a hidden storehouse of stolen goods, or surprisingly detailed accounts of naval guard patrol routes and times. One idea I'm particularly leaning into is the idea of the fish barrels being used to smuggle weapons and other contraband.
