Did You Miss Me?
Pinned to the Notice Board
Marked with simple blue ink flourishes to give the impression of banners around the text, a hand written parchment announces;
Did you miss me?
[Taking up most of the page is a sketch of an enthusiastic man with a big grin, with dark short curly hair. He has a largespiral painted over his face and seems to have spiral eyes too.]
Look around. A good look. Really, I could have walked right past you. Reach me for a grand prize, but only if you can tell me my name. You only get one chance, but don’t worry because I already told you!
Ways To Approach
I'm going to hold off on the answer to this little puzzle until the end of the post to give you a chance to look it over and if you can work out this mystery person's name. The idea behind this poster is the idea of an eccentric noble/rich person wanting to do something charitable like giving away a whole bunch of their money - but only to those who can guess their name! The answer is in the poster, if you know where to look.
This is one of those posters that can easily go up onto any tavern board to act as filler, but this person can absolutely become a quest giver or even a patron for the party - opting to send them on unique quests or fund some of their exploits, undoubtedly with some catches.
Okay, okay, I've made you wait long enough for the name. Any guesses yet? His name is Larry, and can be found by looking at the paragraph underneath his portrait. Specifically, you'll want to look at the first letter of each sentence.
This is the third in a series of wanted posters in collaboration with the wonderful Fernando Salvaterra - Fernando is a Brazilian freelance illustrator and writer with an interest in tabletop roleplaying games, cartography, random tables, mysterious trinkets, travel stories, and strange places. Definitely check out more of his work here, where there are also links to his socials - Also check out their Patreon where you can also have access to this and many other portraits.
