Vanishing Beast!
A strange new creature stalks our streets - A large purple and grey beast with feline agility and claws sharper than enchanted daggers. It leaps into existence from thin air to attack unsuspecting individuals and drags them back into nothingness as though it never existed, save for the devastation it leaves behind.
Any travelled hunters or experienced adventurers who can track and put an end to this creature’s chaos will be given a bounty of 6500 Gold.
A further 4000 is offered by the Arcane Institute for the creature itself.

Ways to approach
An all-new apex predator has entered the arena! Is this something natural? From a different plane? Or some foul mage's meddling to create a pet? Whatever the answer may be, adventurers are needed to bring it to an end.
Depending on your needs, this could be a simple quest with a high payout that only requires the party to put their heads together to figure out how to track something that leaves no trace - Perhaps they bait it and follow it into another plane of existence, or perhaps they work out that each person is a specific target all leading back to somebody once wronged.
On the other hand, this could be the start of something much bigger - the first signs of another plane's invasion, as natural cracks between the realms forms. In dealing with this problem the party find themselves on the other side of the crack and with a view of the invading forces.
For something in the middle between severe and simple, we could be dealing with a Dr. Franken-mage who fancies themselves as a genius creature inventor and has no problems with playing god. The creature hasn’t even escaped, instead, the residents are unfortunate test subjects so that the good doctor can see how much potential their creation has.
