Ways to approach
Very occasionally a character just springs to mind and I absolutely have to make a poster for them that also does their unique personality justice. Galeb is one such character - while they certainly believe themselves to be a master artificer they know full well that they are always learning and that success is only a byproduct of failure. Sometimes big successes need big failures before they can reach their potential. Any adventurers out there willing to help? This is the perfect spot for you as a GM to introduce any magic items you aren’t completely sure about, or are completely sure they will fail horribly but think it will at least be funny.
Even if your party doesn't want to risk life and limb for these new untested creations, they now know of a new location to purchase inventions that have been tried and tested! Probably.
