Rescue Undercover Agent

Pinned to the Notice Board

A giant ink stroke covers the left portion of this tavern poster, where letters show the bare parchment display the word ‘Rescue’ written vertically. To the right is an illustration of a woman with tied back frizzy hair that still trails out at her shoulders. Her face is inked with what appears to be a large spider. Though her mouth snarls there is sadness in her eyes. Underneath the text explains;

An agent working undercover as a Silk-spinner has been captured with vital information. It is imperative Marda is returned safely and quickly - rescue operatives will be going against a formidable force.

Ways To Approach

In a world of spies and soldiers, it looks like we're going to need some adventurers to pull off this rescue!

The saga wanted posters feat. Fernando Salvaterra's wonderful portraits continue! This time we're tackling a rescue operation. I admit it's a bit more high profile than you might usually see on your typical public notice board, but it's perfect for mercenary and adventuring guilds, soldier break rooms, or discreet high-level speakeasies.

In this poster we introduce the Silk Spinners, a mysterious group that is spreading across the land with seemingly nefarious goals. Could they be working to unleash the arachnid avatar of an elder god? Are they actually part of an ancient order of spies that are only now coming to light? Could be both. Personally I’d love to introduce the Silk-spinners as an apparent rag-tag group of bandit upstarts, but Marda has managed to uncover a portion of their web of influence which shows surprising reach. Indeed, breaking Marda out might be more than anybody bargained for, and I’m a big fan of the concept of this group attempting to unleash the spider avatar of an old god.
