Ways To Approach
A simple and innocuous poster, almost designed to go unnoticed... except for that little mark in the bottom right-hand corner. We've seen that before, haven't we? Doesn't that mean there's a secret message here? Can you figure it out?
It's been a while since we've had a crack at putting some Thieves' Cant on our posters! The symbol is the same as the last one in case your players are ever able to spot it by themselves. As for what it means, you may notice that some words start with capital letters when they perhaps shouldn't, whilst others do not when they perhaps should. A clue would be that these are keywords with a secondary meaning, and any other words in the sentence will give context to the alternate meaning.
Here's the code as I would play it:
Property Up For Grabs: Prime stealing opportunity!
Estate: Stealing from an estate.
Furnished: Expensive furnishings are the prime target.
Windows and Doorway have just been replaced: A lookout and lockpick are already on board.
Floors could do with an expert's insight: Need a trap finder.
no Serving Staff: Need muscle and movers.
Serious inquiries: Skilled applicants only.
High Value: Big payout for all.
agent Xander at Argyle House: You can apply at the house on the corner of Xander and Argyle Street (asking around the party may find that there is no 'Argyle House' in the area, but there is an Argyle Street.)
