Sir Verner Mayhew requires the services of a skilled artist to create a large portrait of Sir Verner and his wife.
In return the artist will be compensated for their time and skill a total of 10 gold pieces per week taken, with the offer of a bonus if the painting exceeds expectations.
Ways to approach
When creating downtime and filler posters I wanted to create posters that had the potential to appeal to hobbies the characters might have, things that don’t usually come out throughout the course of normal play. Even if they hadn’t thought about it before, a player could look at a poster and think ‘hey, my character would probably do that!’.
Here the Mayhews may want some references, something to prove that the character is up to the task, or they may ask for a demonstration of their work. If done well though, the hero could earn a hefty reputation along with the gold and get further commissions as the game goes on.
