In the blink of an eye everyone in our town lost our memories. We’ve picked up life as best as we can but there is growing tension, and all of us would very much like these parts of our souls back. We want to know who we are again.

Any Helpful Heroes

Please make haste to the town of Stonefold. Although we cannot offer any treasures or items as a reward for helping restore our memories while their significance is lost to us, we have come together to pool a large sum of gold and may be able to offer more once our memories are returned.

I was going to say something, but for some reason, I can't remember...

What could cause an entire town to lose their memories? Were they absorbed by a monster that now can masquerade as any member of this town? Perhaps the answer lies in the tower over yonder where a mage tried desperately to forget a relationship gone horribly wrong but overdid the spell. Or maybe Stonefold is the plaything of a malicious entity.

How would I run things? I think I would make Stonefold a ghost town, and everyone here is actually a spirit that isn't aware of it. A great tragedy struck the area and killed all of the people about 10 years ago, but their spirits have returned as a warning that the same event is about to happen again.
